Sunday was an amazing day worshipping with our kids at Grace Place. We drove back up to Wiang Pa Pao and spent the whole day celebrating Christmas with our “family” there. We sang, they sang, we all sang.  They danced, we all danced. We played many games and shared the gifts.  The children received warm pj’s, socks and candy as well as dresses for the girls, and jeans for the boys.  They were so excited that they put their dresses on over their clothes to model them for us.  Later on at our evening celebration, they all had either their dresses, jeans or pj’s on.  One little boy, who was just adopted by Pon and Philip, didn’t receive a gift because we didn’t know about him. He just sat there without complaining at all.  Another boy noticed and shared his candy with him. We happened to have an extra gift that was suppose to go to someone later close to is size, so we gave it to him.  He was grateful but really enjoyed the candy.

It has been unusually cold here in Thailand, and the kids were cold. So, all the warm things we brought them were very cherished. Thanks to all the sponsors and others who have been providing the funds to care for these precious children.

In case you have somehow missed how important our church is to these kids, I will try to express their love for you again here.  These children love and pray for us everyday. Really, they do.  It is not something they just say.  They live it.  They have been rescued in every way and have experienced the love of God in such a real way. They have such a deep love for God and for us.  We are their family, spiritually and physically.

Our team experienced God’s wisdom in putting together our team.  It was really neat to see each person on our team using their skill set to reach certain children and make connections with them.  Margot used her music, Liz used her amazing skills with kids, Zac used his basketball and on and on. We were moving as the body of Christ all working together.
